March 1: Tribal Seeds at Pirate's Cove

In 2011, the beach saw a huge influx of great shows for Reggae fans including great touring acts such as Groove Stain, Pasadena, Ballyhoo!, The Movement and SOJA, among others.
Now, as we head toward another great season of live music at the beach, one of the hottest Reggae acts playing today is set to run the show and take Myrtle Beach by storm.
California-based Roots Reggae group Tribal Seeds will bring its "Run The Show 2012" Tour to Pirate's Cove in North Myrtle Beach on March 1 at 8 p.m. for a groovin' show to set the tone for a big spring on the Grand Strand. The band, which released its "Soundwaves" EP in 2011, is currently touring in support of a new single "Run The Show" (available on iTunes) with special guests Fortunate Youth.
In addition, the show will feature local group Skitch kicking things off with its classic-rock influenced jams and laid-back Reggae Rock sensibilities.
Tickets for the event are $13 in advance or $15 day of show and can be purchased online at piratescovelounge.com or here through showclix.com. About Skicth
Skitch calls Pawleys Island home and started in 2002, when they were known as The Rodeo Clowns. In 2005, they recorded their first original material, "Green Pants" before then changing their name to Skitch.
As Skitch, they developed a sound and matured as a band and in 2007 released a self-titled demo with eight songs including original material and a Pink Floyd cover.
The band currently consists of original members Coyt Duke (guitar/vocals) and Brad Smoak (drums) as well as phenomenal young player Daniel Simons on bass and backing vocals. They perform relentlessly on the south end of town and have played all over the Grand Strand, known for their stunning classic rock and Reggae covers and a laid-back vibe that has produced some solid original material.
